With Roots Above and Branches Below

I was in the U.K for most of 2009 when i made this artwork. Id take a walk often in the countryside near Nottingham, and one particular tree stood out that stuck in my mind. Although the cover is made from a very quick sketch from my imagination. Sometimes its good to get the shapes down fast to capture an organic type of subject like this. I also made allot of inner sleeve paintings for the album, that were looser in technique.
