Sphere's (Published version)

This is the second album cover made for the band Pestilence's album 'Sphere's' from 1993. The initial cover which can be seen on this site was turned down by the band. They wanted to keep the same 'Centralobe' design id made for an earlier cover to keep continuity. Though i prefer greatly the 1st attempt i made. I wanted to show that these sphere's or Centralobe's were many and different. The band wanted me to use a specific photo reference as the background in this painting. Which made the whole process go a bit stale, as I prefer not to be held back by direct reference material. Non the less, it is what it is.
